What is Ya Boy Kongming all about?
The plot of the show is quite simple and does not stray. Once upon a time there was a famous military strategist Zhuge Liang Kongming (yes, he was a real person and not a fiction). Kongming died in the Battle of Wuzhang Plains. Before he died, he made only one wish, to be reborn in a peaceful life, away from all wars and battles.
As soon as he opens his eyes, he finds himself young and in modern Shibuya. Kongming sees a beautiful singing girl named Eiko. Eiko tells Kongming how she wants to be a singer, but has failed so far. With a strategist background, Kongming vows to help Eiko achieve her dream.

Eiko is determined and returns to Kido and starts singing. Kido is impressed by Eiko and arranges a song. On the other hand, Kabetaijin is preparing for his match against Sekitoba. As he prepares for the match, Kabetaijin remembers the time he spent with his old rap crew. During their match, Sekitoba is so impressed with how Kabetaijin has improved in the match that he is happy to admit it. Nanami still has doubts about his friendship with Eiko. She continues his education under Karasawa along with Azalea.
Karasawa announces that Azalea will be performing in Shibuya with a million yen giveaway to get the 100,000 likes they are aiming for. Nanami is initially not a fan of the idea of buying likes by spending money. But Nanami as a subordinate cannot resist this idea of Karasawa. We then see Eiko singing. She sings an arranged version of her song. Kongming is so fond of her singing that he remembers his past.
In the flashback we see that Kongming meets Liu Bei and pledges allegiance to him. Over the next few days, Eiko will continue to work on her song. She improves her singing and finishes her song with the help of Kabetaijin. At the end we see Eiko naming her song “Dreamer”.

Ya Boy Kongming is a weekly show. That said and the 10th episode will be released on June 7, 2022, episode 11 of Ya Boy Kongming will be released on June 14, 2022.
