One-Punch Man is a popular anime series based on the manga of the same name, which is based on a web comic of the same name. The main character of this show is Saitama, a normal human being who is thin and bald. That’s all normal until he picks up his costume and becomes a hero. As his name says, this character can beat anyone with just a single punch, it doesn’t matter if it’s a normal human or an Alien.

He comes from a place where Monsters are everyday things, and they roam every street. There is also a Hero Association that handles these monsters using Heros registered under it. Saitama starts fighting monsters on his own until he encounters Genos and realizes that he can do this job for a living at the Hero Association. As the plot progresses, we learn that this world is infested by powerful monsters.

The World of One-Punch Man

You may or may not have noticed, but the world of One-Punch Man is very different from a normal world. It has monsters roaming around every corner of the street. The monsters themselves share a story that is sometimes unique and funny in a way. For example, the first monster Saitama encountered, Crablante, turned around like this after eating a lot of crabs. A monster turned into a car type one because it modified itself.

The main point that comes out of this is that if you do something repeatedly, whether you’re less or more passionate, you turn into that thing.

What is Saitama?

One of the fundamental theories about Saitama’s beginnings is that he is definitely not a normal human being. His training has led to a scenario where we see Saitama easily defeat any monster with just one punch. The fact that why the main enemies of the Hero Association, the Monster Association (MA), have not taken a position on finding the man who takes down every monster in the Ghost Town Z city? He usually kills the monsters he encounters, which only leads to rumors. No one knew the true potential of this humble-looking hero.

Then why is Saitama so strong?

dr. Genus explains that every creature has a limit on how much it can grow. Too much power brings burdens to the wearer who creates problems, they can become a raging and mindless monster, this is why God has created every living thing with a sequence of growth that ensures their sanity and survival. This growth restriction is called Limiter. However, Saitama pushed himself to the point of exceeding his limitations and removing his Limiter.

He further added that people become monsters because of the desire to become something different because of their bad habits, a complexity or an outburst of disgruntled frustration. They start their transformation because of their environment causing an anomaly in their cells. At the same time, others are made by the power of chemicals, as in his research. Numerous cases have also been found of non-human life forms becoming monsters as a result of pollution and the like. However, they become completely different creatures that have nothing to do with removing his Limiter.

Examples include the sea folk or the alien monsters in a broader sense, but they were such sentient beings to begin with. In the case of heroes, they were born with sufficient potential, genius intellect and Esper powers. But Saitama is different. He is an accustomed person who opened the way of boundaries and broke his LIMITER.
