Netflix’s “Vampire in the Garden” is a dark fantasy anime developed by Wit Studio (“Spy × Family”). The shows are about an imaginary world where humans and vampires coexisted peacefully until a war between the two factions changed everything. It marked the beginning of an endless conflict that drove humanity to the brink of extinction, after which it began to fight back and consolidate its powers. In all this chaos, an unexpected encounter between the vampire queen and a young girl leads them on their optimistic quest for a paradise, where the two groups can once again establish peaceful relations.
Unfortunately, such an idea is unacceptable to most, as vampires and humans have suffered far too many victims. The story of hope and peace in the midst of violence and destruction has captured the attention of the anime fandom and numerous positive reviews have surfaced online. After the end of the first episode, it’s only natural for fans to wonder if the series will return for another season or not. If you’re curious about that too, we’ve got you covered.
Vampire in the Garden Season 2 Release Date
‘Vampire in the Garden’ season 1 will be released in its entirety on Netflix on May 16, 2022. The first episode consists of five episodes, each lasting approximately 24 to 30 minutes.
As for the dark fantasy anime refresh, sadly there have been no updates so far. However, Netflix usually doesn’t provide updates on a show’s future until a few months after its release on the platform, so fans don’t have to worry about anything from now on. Most anime innovations rely heavily on the source material, but “Vampire in the Garden” is an original anime, so ultimately the decision is made by the creators themselves.
The show leaves a lot of room for another part, as it doesn’t provide a good explanation of what’s really happening with the global conflict between vampires and humans. While we’re in the post-credits scene, we get a glimpse of a place where humans and vampires live together. But that doesn’t necessarily mean the world has somehow become peaceful again, as Momo and Fiine previously visited a similar place in the penultimate episode.
Plus, viewers aren’t learning the kind of relationship Paradise Momo has found with the rest of the vampire and human world. With so much yet to be explained, another season cannot be ruled out. Assuming the show gets renewed in the coming months, season 2 of ‘Vampire in the Garden’ will premiere sometime late 2023†
Vampire in the Garden Season 2 Plot: What Could It Be About?
In the Season 1 finale, Kubo and Allegro finally reach the village where vampires and humans live together. As the battle between different factions leads to widespread violence, the vampire queen is forced to use the deadly drug to protect Momo. She nearly kills Kubo, but spares his life, proving that she and other vampires aren’t necessarily savage or emotionless, as he may have been led to believe.
While Momo and Fiine manage to escape the chaotic battle, the latter dies from the drug. Momo makes peace with the untimely passing of her friends and the post-credits scene shows her relaxing in the paradise she used to talk to Fiine about.
In Season 2, the show can finally shed light on the fate of the human-vampire conflict that has resulted in countless deaths so far. Although Momo has found her paradise, it seems highly unlikely that the two groups will immediately befriend and live together again. The enmity can also lead to attacks on the regions where vampires and humans have come to live together. Although Fiine dies in the first episode, being the vampire queen, the possibility of her revival cannot be ruled out either.
