Upcoming MAPPA Projects in 2022 You Need to Know About

Knowing only the anime and not the staff behind it is cruel, don’t you think? After all, you can enjoy it because such studios exist. If you’re an anime fan, you’ve probably heard of MAPPA studio, right? Did you know that the most trending anime series right now, Attack On Titan The Final Season, is animated by MAPPA studio? Obviously you did! But did you also know that Takt Op Destiny, Jujutsu Kaisen, Dorohedoro, Gymnastics Samurai, God Of High School, Yuri!! MAPPA Studio

Founded on June 14, 2011, the CEO of MAPPA studio is Manabu Otsuka. All these years based on originality, based on creative ideas, based on “I want to create something”, based on energy to express oneself, based on the individuality of strength, based on emerging emotions for work, the MAPPA studio is come to this stage.

By focusing on both growth and improvement, MAPPA studio has strengthened in-house production, created an education system for each process and focused on quality and productivity. The production department of Sendai Studio is responsible for all materials, budget, schedules and checks the quality of the animation. Next up is the CGI department, which is divided into six departments: 3DCGI, Art, Finishing, Photography, Editing, and Design. In addition to the management department, which is responsible for managing creative sites, there is also a drawing department, which strengthens the internal drawing training. MAPPA also has departments such as the Law Department, the Planning and Development Department, and Sendai Studio, which is primarily responsible for the drawing/video finishing process.

Hell’s Paradise

Yuji Kaku’s “Hell’s Paradise,” published in Shueisha Jump Comics, is all set to get its own anime adaptation. Get ready, because manga readers say it’s awesome. Spoiler or not, some manga readers are already guaranteed a happy ending.

The anime series is about a ninja, Gabimaru the Hollow, from Iwagakure Village, who is known for his coldness. Gabimaru fell into a trap, was caught by one of his fellow ninjas, and is on death row. Because he wanted to die, Gabimaru still had a reason to live on. What reason could it be? And what exactly is meant by Hell’s Paradise? While the official release date has yet to be announced, there’s a possibility it could be out in the fall of 2022.

Alice and Tere’s Illusion Factory

MAPPA has outdone itself. They’ve reached a point where fans are more concerned about the animators than the release date of the anime itself! (Just some facts with no filter.)

Also known as Alice to Therese no Maboroshi Koujou, is an anime film whose release date has yet to be announced. The film, directed by Mari Okada, is about young people who will fight their fate with ‘love’ as their weapon.

Attack On Titan: The Final Season

The most hyped season of AOT and the most trending anime series worldwide, Attack On Titan has reached its final season. The summary is known to everyone. How Eren betrays his friend and joins forces with his ‘other mother’s brother’. How Eren does everything he does for the sake of his friends and for the sake of the Eldians. How Eren wants his friends to be the hero who killed the ‘Founding Titan’ and be recognized by everyone. And how Eren will basically sacrifice himself for everyone.

Everything is known to you, right? Or were some of the information spoilers for you? But it doesn’t matter, because eventually you will know! So as far as animation goes, MAPPA has done a great job once again.

chainsaw man

The highly anticipated anime series, Chainsaw Man, is also being produced by MAPPA. Fans, even me, rewatched the series’ official trailer and died. Not only that, but the music in the teaser PV is so great that it all feels so real. The shiver you get all over your body still feels new every time you watch the teaser, over and over.

In the story of Chainsaw Man, the main character Denji is just a teenager who wants a peaceful and happy life along with a girl that he might like. Denji had a pet – chainsaw devil – named Pochita. Because Denji has to survive and feed Pochita, he is forced to do any work, whoever pays him well. It all got messed up when his contractor signed a contract with a devil. Being all alone, Denji had Pochita until one day, both were killed. However, by a turning point, Denji and Pochita had their bodies merged. By pulling the zipper, Denji could now unlock Pochita’s Chainsaw and eventually kill other fiends with it.

There is no official date yet, other than that it will be released in 2022.

Dance Dance Dancer

George Asakura’s “Dance Dance Danseur”, serialized in Shogakukan’s “Weekly Big Comics Spirits,” is getting an anime adaptation. The journey of a young boy, who, while napping in his sister’s ballet performance, saw a man elegantly doing a ballet performance, will he still be able to continue his passion for ballet?

The anime series ‘Dance Dance Danseur’ is scheduled for April 2022 and will premiere on the Super Animeism block on MBS and TBS. Sports anime like this anime series is also one of the most anticipated.

Bet Kegurui So

The Netflix anime series, Kakegurui-Sou, will be distributed worldwide in August 2022. On November 9, 2021, the official website announced the worldwide collaboration with the games “SINoALICE” x anime “Kakegurui xx”.
