About Ueda Toshiya

In 1933, on February 24, the great voice artist Ueda Toshiya was born in Sapporo, Hokkaido, Japan. Growing up in his homeland, young Ueda was oblivious to the fact that one day he will become a legendary voice artist that everyone will remember. He mentioned in his particular skills that he speaks very good English and this is reflected in his work. Ueda worked for 81 Produce, a Japan-based talent management company. His 46-year career and dedication to his works have earned him a whole crowd of fans. Unfortunately, those fans have to put up with this sad news and were unable to pay their respects at his funeral. The talent agency 81 produce released its discouraging news that Ueda Toshiya passed away on February 8, 2022 at the age of 88.

The reasons for the death are still unknown as none of the family members’ authorities have spoken a word about the matter. All the relatives decided to hold a small funeral which made the fans feel even more grief because they were not allowed to pay their last respects. Ueda’s family and only limited relatives were present to attend the funeral as per the family’s wish. All fans are saddened and pray for the peace of the departed soul.

At the beginning of his career he got some small roles in Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam, City Hunter, Dirty Pair, Lupine III: Part II, Master Keaton, Golgo 13, Bonobono and Gatchaman. Even if it was only for one episode that we also collaborated on A piece of and gave his voice to Nefertari Cobra. He also gave his voice in the programs of the local networks of NHK and TBS. Besides in animes, he provided his voice in the dubbing role of Itzhak Stern in the live-action film Schindler.
