‘Tiger & Bunny’ is a Japanese mystery-action anime developed by Bandai Namco Pictures and follows Kotetsu T. Kaburagi, a veteran of the Stern Bild City, where a select few lucky people are born with special powers and are named NEXT. People who use their abilities for the greater good regularly appear on Hero TV and battle the bad guys, earning Hero Points while their sponsors get the right advertisement. Unfortunately, after going through a rough patch for a few consecutive months, Kotetsu is paired up with Barnaby Brooks Jr., another hero with a personality totally incompatible with him.
However, with countless villains itching to take down Stern Bild City, the duo decide to put their differences aside and team up. The action-packed drama that unfolds has amassed a huge worldwide fan base, and the anime has also received critical acclaim for its production values and superhero portrayals. After the end of the second episode, fans are naturally curious when the show will return with new episodes. Curious about the same? We’ve got you covered.
Tiger & Bunny Season 3 Release Date
Season 2 of ‘Tiger & Bunny’ premieres on Netflix in its entirety on April 8, 2022. The series consists of 13 episodes, each with a running time of exactly 25 minutes.
As for the upcoming episode, Netflix, the worldwide distributor of the final season, is also keeping quiet about the future prospects of the series. Fans shouldn’t be discouraged though, as the anime is expected to return soon. The second episode may have been released independently on Netflix, but the anime was developed as a split-court production-wise.
Therefore, it has already been officially announced that Seasons 2 and 3 together will have a total of 25 episodes, of which only 13 have premiered so far, with the rest expected to come out in the near future. Now when shows are produced as a split cour, production for the rest of the episodes usually starts well in advance of or immediately after the release of the first half. While there is uncertainty about the exact production dates, the two parts of a split course are usually released within 3 to 6 months of each other. Assuming this is also the case for the series, ‘Tiger & Bunny’ Season 3 will be out sometime in Q4 2022†
Tiger & Bunny Season 3 Plot: What Could It Be About?
In the latest episode, Tiger and Barnaby, as seniors, try to set an example for the new heroes who have recently achieved stardom. Sadly, dark clouds loom over the Stern Bild City as a pair of NEXT suspects, Hugan and Mugan, declare war on the city’s superheroes. Soon, high-ranking heroes Sky High and Fire Emblem are attacked and found frozen.
Unfortunately, as the villainous duo begin to fight the heroes head-on, the city’s protectors are forced to regroup and devise a strategy to defeat them. When the two sides confront each other, a violent battle ensues in which Mugan and Hugan lose their lives while some of the heroes are seriously injured. However, the heroes eventually make a full recovery.
In the coming season, villains will unleash a much more devastating attack on the Stern Bild City. Tiger and Barnaby need the help of other talented new heroes who have proven themselves by consistently fighting for the greater good. This time, however, they may not be able to subdue the enemies without suffering a heartbreaking loss on their side as well. But one thing is certain, the battle between good and evil will bring out the best in Tiger and Barnaby, who will risk everything to save the lives of innocent people.
