The Rising of the Shield Hero Season 2 Episode 6 Recap
After learning the truth about Ost, Raphtalia and others struggle with the fact that she is unknown to a Spirit Tortoise. However, Kyo Ethnina claims that if she was really just another acquaintance, he could have controlled her like others. Meanwhile, the legendary monster has finally grown back and begins to prepare for its relentless attacks so that it can capture more souls.
Ost tells Naofumi that if they plan to kill the Spirit Tortoise, they must cut off its head and destroy its heart at the same time. However, they still have no idea how it managed to grow its head and neck so quickly. Kyo Ethnina explains that they may think it was made possible by claiming many souls, but instead of doing that, he simply used the powers of Itsuki the bow hero, Ren the sword hero, and Motoyasu the spear hero.
Rishia is shocked to see Itsuki suffer, but seems helpless; meanwhile, Fitoria arrives on the battlefield to aid the shield hero by fighting the Spirit Tortoise. She sends a message to Naofumi and his company via Filo that she will attack the head while simultaneously destroying the heart to kill their enemy for good. Soon, Therese, L’Arc and Glass also find Kyo while searching for the heart.
While Ethnina claims they should join them because some of their goals are similar, the trio refuses to mean anything to the Book Hero, who simply wants to collect more souls. The Ghost Turtle starts attacking the army ahead of him, but Fitoria uses her powers to form a protective shield so no one gets hurt. Mirelia realizes that until the military and others arrive, Fitoria cannot use all of her powers, so they must leave immediately.
Kyo uses the anti-gravity attack on his opponents to keep them out of his way. However, Rishia, having mastered some of the techniques she had previously learned, manages to fight back and surprise the Book Hero. Ost grants Naofumi the Spirit Turtle’s powers so that he too can help Rishia. Using the world’s most powerful magic, All Liberation Aura, the shield hero neutralizes the anti-gravity magic that Kyo uses, freeing everyone else as well, including Therese, L’Arc, and Glass.
The Rising of the Shield Hero Season 2 Episode 6 Ending: How Do Naofumi Iwatani and His Company Kill the Ghost Turtle?
As Rishia continues to fight and keep Kyo busy, Filo, along with Therese, L’Arc and Glass, sets out to find the heart of the Spirit Tortoise. Fortunately, they manage to find it soon after. But by then, the legendary monster is about to launch a vicious attack using the souls it had collected. Fitoria realizes that if she just dodge the attack, it would destroy the city behind her. But luckily, she doesn’t have to worry about making the tough decision as a shield of multi-caster ritual magic shapes over the Spirit Tortoise.
As a battle between the legendary monster’s powerful attack and ritual magic begins, it gives Fitoria the opening she so desperately sought. She wastes no time attacking the neck while Therese, L’Arc and Glass, along with Filo, destroy the heart. Unfortunately, that’s not enough to kill the monster either, as Kyo has already put in place a countermeasure protecting the Spirit Tortoise’s core.
Although the shield hero tries to use his powers to deliver a fatal blow to the core, he is unable to do it. However, Ost, who has given him the Spirit Turtle’s powers, begs him to try again, and suddenly his shell changes. Before he could think, it destroys the core and kills the Spirit Tortoise. Sadly, Ost, who has always been on Naofumi’s side, dies along with his creator, as she predicted. However, Kyo has already prepared for the worst-case scenario and manages to run away with the ghosts he has collected.
