The Rising of the Shield Hero Season 2 Episode 5 Recap
Episode 5 of Rising of Sheild Hero started with Ost Hourai conflicting with her feelings. She has doubts about the way the Tortoise Spirit ‘save’ the world. Ost thinks how will killing people and taking away their smiles save the world? This inner conflict of feelings is seen throughout the episode. Ost wonders if a acquaintance like her should have feelings? Then the episode starts where he left off in episode 4. The shield hero and his gang meet Glass and the other heroes from another world. Sheild Hero finds out that whoever controls the Tortoise Spirit is in his favor.
The heroes from another world suggest that they must join forces to defeat the one who controls the Tortoise Spirit. However, Naofumi declines the offer, saying he won’t team up with anyone he would eventually have to kill. Both sides go in their own way to destroy the heart of Tortoise Spirit. Ost Hourai leads the Shield Hero party and they end up in a place with an hourglass. Ost says memories come back to her, and this hourglass is the indication of souls Tortoise Spirit has collected. When the hourglass is full, it will form a barrier all over the world to protect it from the waves.
When the Shield Hero party arrives at the place where the heart of the Tortoise spirit is, a mysterious figure emerges. He introduces as a bearer of the Book Vassal Weapon, and his name is Kyo Ethnina. After Kyo disappears, the gang fights and eventually destroys the heart of Tortoise Spirit, knocking Ost Hourai unconscious. Then Ost has some flashbacks about the ghost of the turtle. She wakes up with a mark on her chest, similar to a sign from the slave.
While Tortoise Spirit is about to wake up, Ost takes the gang to its deepest depths with a spell that opens a hole. They also find Kyo there, and he says that Ost Hourai himself is the Tortoise Spirit, and if they want to stop Tortoise, all they have to do is kill Ost.
