In the first episode of RWBY: Ice Queendom, titled Red, White, Black, Yellow, we are introduced to dust as the driving force behind humans’ ability to fight evil. In the middle of this impressive-looking fight we cut to Blake and from there we see Adam’s armor flashing between her bow and his against Weiss. It’s an interesting episode with great characters and fans are eagerly waiting for episode 2.
RWBY: Ice Queendom Episode 1 Review
We get our first scene with one of our main characters, which is surprisingly not Weiss because of the show’s name – ruby visiting her mother’s grave and complaining that Yang is off the beacon to be a fighter to become. The first episode opens with an explanation of how dust is a driving force behind humans’ ability to fight evil. During this great looking fight, we cut to Weiss who is guided by Klein to the process her father has set so she can attend the beacon.
After the victory of Weiss’ battle and Blake’s departure from the white bang, we are taken back to Ruby on his way to the kill shop. She is robbed by the famous Roman Torwick. Ruby manages to beat up the lackeys, but Torwood is able to escape via a fire escape. After talking to Osman, the headmaster of beacon at a police station, we see that two years in advance ruby is invited by some sort of favoritism to join beacon as in the original ruby gives chase and is this time nearly blown up by torchlight, but luckily for her, Glenda manages to save her. Before the episode ends, we see the various characters get on the airship and fly to a beacon, where they get a shared story from Ozpin and say a few words about humanity.
There’s no doubt that one thing I loved about this episode, and I mean pretty much everything, was the animation for the show, which even the most cynical Ruby fans can enjoy. This performance is beautiful. You can tell the studio has worked hard to make it look its best. The fight scenes are especially breathtaking. In some of the photos, the detail is stunning, especially the way they captured that signature ruby red feel, as well as the blooms they put on each likeness to make them that much more memorable. Seeing the trail of light on the glyphs of white, the barely perceptible shadows on Blake’s clones and the way the roses float during Ruby’s pedal burst is such a sight to behold, but not only is the fight itself breathtaking, all the characters in the show look flawless .

About RWBY: Ice Queendom Anime
Remnant is a fantasy world where humans and Faunus – hybrids of humans and animals – adapt to an ubiquitous threat from the monstrous Grimm. Hunters and hunters fight Grimm with weapons adapted to their abilities and with their own ‘Semblancs’ derived from the soul of the individual. As a result, each of the four kingdoms of Remnant has established schools to properly care for children who aspire to become licensed hunters. Warriors also use crystallized energy propellants, known as “dust”, to impart elemental properties to their weapons.
Ruby Rose, Weiss Schnee, Blake Belladonna and Yang Xiao Long are future fighters making their debut at Beacon Academy in the Kingdom of Vale. The four have different backgrounds and therefore often clash. With the attention of Professor Ozpin, they worked together and became a formidable force. Ruby, along with her teammates in Team JNPR, and a group of other young child prodigies engaged in adventures pitting them against an extremist Faunus group known as the White Fang. Each explosive encounter eventually brought them closer to discovering who the real villains are.
