Hire a Girlfriend Season 2 Episode 6 Recap
The morning after she presents Chizuru to her, Kazuya stands on his balcony hoping to strike up a conversation with her. He’s worried that Chizuru might not have liked the gift, so a thousand negative thoughts race through his head. When Chizuru finally arrives on the balcony, she thanks him for the gift, but also points out that it appeared to be a gift from a grandfather rather than a friend.
Kazuya is naturally embarrassed and tries to defend herself by claiming that he just wanted to give her something to help her relax. Fortunately, Chizuru is not disappointed at all and seems to appreciate his efforts. Kazuya takes the opportunity and mentions Ruka again, even though he has already made it clear in the note that they have not had sex. But even before he could give any explanation, Chizuru tells him she trusts him. Kazuya is excited and proposes to go out next Wednesday to celebrate her birthday.
Unfortunately, Chizuru is invited to a drinking party by her friends, so she asks him to go out with her on another day. Kazuya is unfortunately busy every other day of the week, so they drop the plan for now. Later the next day, when he attends his college, his friends begin to tease him about his girlfriend. They even go so far as to ask him candidly if the couple hasn’t had sex for a long time. Since they’ve been together for almost a year, they suspect that they must have done it long ago.
Kazuya is ashamed to answer all their questions because they don’t know the truth about their relationship. Some time later in the day they tell him about a party to which they have been invited, where some girls will also be present. All the guys are overjoyed that they can finally impress a girl and they take Kazuya with them too. They take him to a room where the drinking party is supposed to be held, but as soon as Kazuya enters, he is startled to see a familiar face.
Chizuru sits right in front of him. His momentary reaction catches everyone’s attention and they ask if he knows her. Fortunately, Chizuru has managed to look very different from her usual self by wearing glasses and putting on a lot of makeup. Therefore, Kazuya’s friends do not recognize her. As everyone sits down, Kazuya and Chizuru feel extremely uncomfortable knowing that the truth about their relationship could be revealed at any moment.
As already planned, the girls and boys of the party prepare for the drinking party. But before that, they have a short introduction, where Chizuru’s boyfriend mentions that she has a hundred boyfriends and alludes to the fact that she is a rental girlfriend. At this point, Kazuya is quite upset that his friends will soon find out that he has been lying to them for over a year.
Rent A Girlfriend Season 2 Episode 6 Ending: Do Kazuya’s college friends learn the truth about Chizuru? How does he protect her?
Once the drinking party starts, the girls and boys challenge each other to various tasks to test who can drink the most. All the while, Kazuya and Chizuru are extremely careful not to make any mistake while drunk which reveals their secret. However, after drinking for a while when Chizuru is challenged to drink an entire glass of alcohol in one sitting, Kazuya fears she may not be able to handle it. But to his surprise, Chizuru not only takes up the challenge, but also manages to look graceful.
However, he knows they’ve had enough alcohol already and it’s only a matter of time before one of them reveals the truth about their relationship. Therefore, Kazuya decides to take on all the challenges so that Chizuru doesn’t have to drink anymore. He drinks one glass of alcohol after another. Despite being drunk, he manages to be aware of his actions, at least in front of his friends. But at some point during the party, one of Chizuru’s friends takes off her glasses, arguing that she would look prettier without them.
For a moment, Chizuru and Kazuya feel like they’ve been exposed. While Chizuru hides her face with her hands and quickly puts her glasses back on, the duo wait for a response. Fortunately, at this point, everyone is so drunk that they supplement Chizuru that she looks like an actress. Even when her name and date of birth are revealed, Kazuya’s friends fail to connect the obvious and fail to recognize that they are with their boyfriend’s girlfriend or that she is a rental girlfriend. Later that night, Chizuru helps an extremely hungover Kazuya to reach his apartment and take care of him.
