Kaguya-sama: Love Is War Season 3 Episode 3 Recap

While talking to Kaguya and Gigako in the hall, Nagisa shares her fear of being cheated on by her boyfriend. When asked, she said she saw him talking to one of her friends during the lunch hour. She said the two were overly friendly. While Gigako shrugs off the accusation, stating there isn’t enough evidence to make such a wild claim, Kaguya agrees with Nagisa. She believes that a secret rendezvous behind her back must have an ulterior motive.

Nagisa went on to confess that she checked Tsubasa’s phone behind his back. However, she found no evidence of cheating. At this point, Gigako is convinced that Nagisa is just thinking too much, but when she shows proof that her boyfriend went to karaoke with the same girl, she changes her mind. But Kaguya disagrees, as she still remembers Hayasaka going to karaoke with Shirogane, and she doesn’t want anything to come to her mind. Unfortunately, Gigako is convinced and argues that people there often exhibit indecent behavior, much to Kaguya’s dismay.

At the end of the conversation, Nagisa decides to confront her boyfriend and find out the truth herself. While Fujiwara, Kaguya, and Gigako secretly observe them, Nagisa gathers the courage to ask Tsubasa whether he likes her or not. But to her surprise, Tsubasa gives her a heart-shaped necklace as a gift for their seventh-month anniversary. He explains that he only succeeded with Maki’s help and removes all doubts from Nagisa. The couple celebrates the occasion with a kiss and later thanks Maki for her help.

While pretending to be excited for them, once she is alone, Maki feels the emotional weight of seeing her crush on someone else. Finding her in bad shape, Ishigami and Shirogane offer her a hot drink after making sure she’s okay. While starting a conversation, the two friends realize that Maki probably likes Nagisa’s boyfriend. Despite the apparent romantic interest, Maki pretends she doesn’t care. But when pushed a bit, she accepts her feelings for Tsubasa.

While discussing what she plans to do to deal with her unrequited love, Maki argues that the relationship her crush is in now won’t last, and even if it does, she’s willing to steal someone’s boyfriend if that’s the case. is needed to get the boy she likes as her boyfriend. Meanwhile, Kaguya still wonders what happened on the group date and asks Fujiwara what she knows about it. The latter explains that she has heard rumors that girls and boys usually play Yamanote Line and Ten-Yen coin games. Kaguya has never heard of the ten yen coin, so Fujiwara invites all her friends to play with it.

Kaguya-sama: Love Is War Season 3 Episode 3 Ending: What Is The Ten Yen Coin Game? Can Kaguya trick Shirogane into confessing his feelings?

In a ten yen coin game, participants are asked challenging, exciting or interesting yes and no questions. However, instead of answering directly, they should use a ten yen coin. If someone wants to answer yes, they open the coin and if their answer is negative, they just have to put it face down. All participants do it at the same time and the coins are thrown under a handkerchief for the sake of anonymity. Fujiwara adds another aspect to the game by telling her friends not to lie under any circumstances.

In case anyone seems suspicious, she is also prepared with a lie detector test to find out the truth. As the game is being played, Kaguya notices that there is only one 1989 coin, so when Shirogane picks it up, she immediately asks if she can ask a question. She asks if the contestants have any romantic feelings for her. Kaguya is convinced that her secret crush cannot escape his emotions this time.

But once a vote has been taken and the handkerchief has been lifted, it turns out that only one answered in the affirmative. However, the 1989 coin is now missing, which would have been compelling evidence that Shirogane loves Kaguya. Obviously the coin has been swapped with a 1979 coin for the sake of anonymity. While this is all a good cover and Shirogane manages to avoid confessing his feelings directly, Kaguya must have realized that her crush is clearly the one who changed the coins to avoid getting caught.
