Science fiction is the thing that can add that interesting element to the most boring things. When you go through something, connecting with some kind of science always makes it very engaging. This is what the Steins: Gate anime series has done to our lives. It added that important touch of science that isn’t boring like the one we study in our new school.
The series is so special because of the plot and especially because of the character. Another thing that is better is the presence of the character “Kurisu Makise”, the ideal female protagonist. She is the only beautiful girl who can be every young man’s dream. Kurisu is not only about just a pretty face, she has also reached all the checkpoints to be super intelligent.
Kurisu Makise is the daughter of Shouichi Makise – the brilliant time-traveling researcher – and certainly inherited some traits from him. She is literally a child prodigy because she graduated from university at the age of seventeen. At such a young age, she also became a member of the Brain Science Institute and Future Gadget Lab. You get to see her in all of Stein’s sequels; Gate, if only a minor role. This beautiful girl is known for being sensible and has made equally good statements throughout the series. Let’s see what were all the words that Kurisu uttered throughout the series.

Kurisu Makise Quotes
Kurisu’s personality is very interesting and you can generally see him acting like a serious mature woman. She usually remains calm and self-controlled, even when she gets all of her actions under her control. As a person, however, she also showed her timid side. It really gets annoyed by all the nicknames Okabe gives her, especially “The Zombie”. Kurisu is a very realistic woman and also refuses to believe in a time machine. She believed that time travel is just fiction, and it took a lot of effort to make her believe. All her nature combines to make her what she is, and fans really love her. So, to cherish the character of Kurisu Makise, let’s see some quotes from her.
“Every glorious day must be lived for those who have passed away.”
The first quote here already sounds so good. It feels like a very intelligent and sensible person has made his statement. It suits the nature of Kurisu Makise very well as she always blows everyone away with her words. Indeed, every brilliant should be lived in memory of those who have passed away. We should cherish every day we live because not everyone is lucky enough to see another day. The quote has a very motivational meaning and just makes us stay happy no matter what. Every day you wake up to see another day, thank God for it and live optimistically, keeping Kurisu’s words in mind.
“It feels like time is going so fast. The passage of time depends entirely on where you stand. Theory of relativity… it’s so romantic. But it is also so tragic.”
This quote was uttered by Kurisu in a very weak moment of hers. After kissing Okabe and expressing her feelings in front of her, Kurisu uttered these words. Although this quote has some scientific terms in between, the meaning is completely romantic. She loved all the moments when she kissed Okabe that she felt the time had passed quickly. She knows very well the logic behind the passage of time, but she can’t help but feel sorry for the time that has passed so quickly. The moments were very romantic and weak that she found it almost tragic.
“So don’t think of it as letting me die. Even if the worldline changes, as long as you don’t forget me, I’ll always be there…”
Kurisu wondered at different times at the same time what her different self was. They all have the resemblance of carrying so much love for the same person. It almost feels mythical that something like this could happen. She said these lines to Okabe because she always wanted to be remembered. Kurisu said that even if she dies, even the world changes, in the end it all depends on him to remember her. As long as Okabe remembers Kurisu, she will stay, she will always be with him. Nothing can separate her from his world and him until the moment he decides to always remember her in mind and soul.
“I don’t want to deny who I’ve been. Because even my failures are part of who I am today.”
The following quote is somewhat tragic as it relates to the death of Kurisu Makise. She said, “I’ve only lived 18 years, but I don’t want to change anything from these years. they are all part of me, even the failures”. She was too realistic and mature to accept everything about her. Kurisu didn’t want to regret or change a moment of her life. Even if it’s the worst part of her life or a failure she’s faced. Even though she had the technology to change then, she didn’t want to and she didn’t regret experiencing those moments. This is what people should do, accept everything, put the past behind them and live happily for the rest of their lives.
“There must be something wrong if you’re using my real name.”
Now that we get into something more causal, Kurisu is human and has all human tendencies. This one here shows how she gets annoyed when called by a nickname from a certain person. As I said, one of the few things that takes Kurisu out of her calm and collected mood is called a nickname. Okabe has given her many nicknames, to be precise, “The Zombie”. Kurisu absolutely hates being called by those names. So, as part of her irritability, she said that Okabe might have a problem using her original name. This is one of the many petty fights they both indulge in.
“Say it right, Hououin Pervert-Kyouma!”
These precious words of Kurisu were said to Okabe, this is another example of how much Kurisu hates to be called by a nickname. This is one of the many times Okabe has used Kurisu’s nickname instead of her real name. In return, she called him Houounin Pervert-Kyouma, which sounds very funny. However, Okabe deserves this title as we have seen many times throughout the series when Okabe behaved like a pervert. These clashes between them are much loved by fans and have become a very important part of the series.
“It seems like you’re both perverted.”
The perverted comment again though, this time it’s not just Okabe, but this time he’s joined by Itaru Hashida. There will be many moments throughout the series where you will hear Kurisu call one person or another pervert. Other than this, you also get to hear some mature comments made on each other by characters. Things are not appropriate to list, but they are clearly based on the taste of the viewers. These kinds of small conversations are okay for adults, but will become questionable if you start watching the series with a minor.
“You kind of get it now, don’t you? That there is no absolute justice in this world.”
This quote was uttered by Kurisu to Okabe at the grave of Mayuri Shiina. Shiina is one of the main characters of the series and a childhood friend of Rintaro Okabe. Also is a member of Future Gadget Lab signifies a fellow colleague of Kurisu. Throughout the line, she said, “The opposite of justice is another juster. While choosing the past through these time jumps is simply choosing between this justice, can you say your justice is correct?”
“99.9% of science is boring.”
No doubt most things in science are boring until we enter Steins; Port world. You might not have expected Kurisu to say such a thing, given her image of a genius. How can someone who is a scientist’s daughter and she is a scientist herself find science boring? But we’re not going to blame her, because in our school days we all felt the same. The thing that this quote makes clear is that no matter who you are, you will always hate studies, but remember this is the most important thing.
“I’m a scientist, I have to act on my own theory. I can’t let my emotions get in the way.”
Now coming back to the realistic side of Kurisu, she remembers that she is a scientist. This statement is very true, as a scientist she cannot let her emotions take over. Some decisions must also be made on the basis of the intellect. Not just for Kurisu, but we should all have separate professional and personal lives that shouldn’t get in the way of each other. Now we have to admit that Kurisu has made some seriously informative statements.
