Komi Can’t Communicate Season 2 Episode 9 Recap
On the second day of the school trip, the students can travel wherever they want with their group. That’s why Katou shows Sasaki and Komi that she’s already planned their whole day. To reach their first destination, the trio takes the train. Once they arrive in Osaka, they go to Utopia Street Japan. Komi and her group enjoy all the fun rides at USJ, leaving the main character a little overwhelmed.
Fortunately, Katou saved the best for last when she tells her classmates that they are going to eat takoyaki now. But she insists that they eat on foot so they can get to the next spot in time. However, Sasaki insists that they take the time to enjoy their meal as eating while walking would be rude. Although Katou agrees, she eats the hot takoyaki as quickly as possible so that she can force her classmates to get to the next destination earlier.
However, Sasaki and Komi take their time, which of course makes Katou a bit unhappy as she is fixated on following the schedule until the last minute. They then visit a park where the trio feed a deer. On the way back to Kyoto, Katou blames Sasaki for not eating takoyaki fast enough, preventing them from following their tight schedule. Sasaki feels that Katou is trying to do too much in one day, and her schedule is ruining everything. Just when it seems like things are heating up between them, Komi shows pictures of them having fun and indirectly asks them to focus on the fun they’ve had so far.
Komi’s meddling seems to have worked wonders as the two friends apologize to each other. After their arrival in Kyoto, Katou tells her classmates that she planned to go to Futomaki Studio Park as well, but because they are late, she offers to change her plans. But at Komi’s insistence, they run to Studio Park, where they have a lot of fun. One of the attractions of this place is its interactive experience, where visitors are entertained by actors dressed in costume performing an act.
Komi, who is dressed as a maiko, is surrounded by a few ninjas as part of the interactive experience. Sasaki, who was sitting on the toilet when all the drama unfolded, feels that her classmate is really being threatened. She is ashamed of the fact that she likes yo-yos. Therefore, she wears a mask and fights the ninjas to save Komi, unbeknownst to them that they were actors. Later that night, Katou manages to get her to confess that she is the masked rescuer who helped Komi in Studio Park. It turns out that Sasaki even came in third in the World Yo-Yo Championship.
Komi Can’t Communicate Season 2 Episode 9 Ending: Does Komi Tell Katou and Sasaki She Likes Tadano?
After Sasaki accepts that she is a yo-yo artist and shows her skills to her classmates, she and Katou tell Komi that it is now time for the love talk. The titular protagonist is confused at first, but she soon understands that they expect her to tell them about their crush. Sasaki says she hasn’t been in love with anyone yet. Then Sasaki is asked about her love interest. She’s ashamed, of course, but confesses that she likes Katai.
The two then turn to Komi, whose expression betrays that she clearly has a crush on someone. Knowing that the main character has a communication disorder, they make it easier for her by asking her to write only the first name of the guy she likes. They already sense that Komi has feelings for Hitohito Tadano. So if she writes H on her copy, it just confirms what they already knew. So, to summarize, yes, Komi indirectly confesses to Sasaki and Katou that she likes Tadano.
