Here’s everything you need to know about the ending of ‘Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba’ Season 2 Episode 15. SPOILERS AHEAD!!!

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Season 2 Episode 15 Recap

After the explosion, Gyutaro and Daki emerge from the wreckage unscathed and looking as strong as ever. By this time, however, Tengen Uzui had suffered several injuries all over his body, but he seemed to be in good spirits. Surprised by the strength and courage of the Sound Hashira, Gyutaro praises his opponent by calling him the chosen one. He also mentions that the venom that entered his body from all the cuts he’s received thus far would have made any other Demon Slayer struggle by now, but Tengen shows no signs of weakness.

The Sound Hashira explains that he is a shinobi and that his clan has become immune to all kinds of poison from long ago. He dislikes being called the Chosen One as some of his companions only took a few days to become a Hashira while he struggled and worked hard to become a Demon Slayer for a long time. worthy of joining the extremely talented fighters. But while they are conversing in the middle of the fight, Gyutaro realizes that Tengen is not immune to the poison, but has merely slowed down its effects, so their victory is only a matter of time.

But to his surprise, the Sound Hashira still has a lot of struggle in him when he suddenly attacks the brother and sister duo. He manages to cut Daki’s neck again, but fails to decapitate Gyutaro. The six demons of the highest rank are shocked by Tengen’s inner strength and courage, despite the adversity he faces. Fortunately, Tanjirou, Inosuke, and Zenitsu all arrive to help him fight the dangerous demons. When Daki tries to attack Tengen, Zenitsu forces her to fight him instead. As Inosuke joins him on the roof, Tengen and badly wounded Tanjirou prepare to fight against Gyutaro.

With their backs against the wall, the highest rank six demons finally show their true powers, and it becomes clear to the Demon Slayers that they are not fighting an ordinary foe. The Sound Hashira realizes that Tanjirou won’t be able to fight for long because his injuries are serious. As the two fight against Gyutaro, Hinatsuru suddenly appears on one of the rooftops and launches several blades laced with Wisteria’s extraction at the demon. One of them hits the demon’s neck, and while he is momentarily distracted, he suddenly realizes that Tanjirou’s blade is about to decapitate him.

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Season 2 Episode 15 Ending: How does Daki survive despite being beheaded twice by Tengen Uzui?

Fans of the dark fantasy series probably already know that the demons can die after exposure to sunlight. The other way to get the job done is to behead the demons with Nichirin Blades. But now some of the Twelve Kizuki have come up with innovative ways to prevent their death in this way.

In Natagumo Mountain Arc, Rui decapitates himself when Tanjirou goes to decapitate him, which turns out to be a life-saving trick for the demon. Something similar happens in the Mugen Train Arc when Enmu’s body merges with the locomotive, rendering the direct decapitation of her physical body ineffective and meaningless. So while beheading demons works with Nichirin Blades, the higher-ranking demons can always come up with an innovative method to trick their enemies.

In the case of Daki, the same is true if she and her brother Gyutaro own the Upper-Rank Six. Interestingly, not only are their ranks shared, but their lives are also intertwined. So even though Tengen beheads Daki, she doesn’t die because her brother is still alive, and as long as one of them lives, the two demons can’t die.

Is Gyutaro dead or alive?

No, Gyutaro does not die in ‘Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba’ Season 2 Episode 15 titled ‘Gathering’. We see Tanjirou about to slit his throat when the episode ends. But before that, he also gets hit with a blade laced with Wisteria extraction, making his survival even more difficult. From now on, there are two possibilities: Tanjirou manages to decapitate the demon, or Gyutaro somehow stops him.

In the second case, the demon’s survival is guaranteed, so let’s assume Tanjirou beheads him. Unfortunately, even in that case, Gyutaro probably won’t die. The episode provides an important clue when Tengen tells his companions that the only way to kill the brother-sister duo is to behead them both at the same time.

Since Zenitsu and Inosuke are unable to slit Daki’s throat at the same time as Gyutaro is beheaded, the demon’s survival is almost guaranteed. The Wisteria-laced blade can slow down the demon, just as the poisoned Sound Hashira struggles a little, but it won’t kill him. However, if we have to look at the manga of the same name, it is very clearly stated that the Upper-Rank Six Demon duo has a tough road ahead of them. So while Gyutaro will survive, he has a bleak future ahead of him for now.
