Vampire in the Garden Summary

In the beginning, we get a glimpse into the unrecognizable world, where vampires rule the metropolis, and humans, the lesser creatures in the equation, have compromised with the vampires by erecting a wall of light. Meanwhile, the human resistance carries out a widespread attack on a vampire colony. They kill a young vampire while a soldier dies from contamination. Momo stumbles upon a mysterious music box. Momo’s mother, the resistance commander, discovers the music box in Momo’s room and asks for an explanation, because in the post-apocalyptic world, music, film and art are exclusive to vampires.

Momo’s only friend in town is Mirena, who is in the resistance army with Momo. The series also introduces Fine, the charismatic queen of vampires, who puts on a show in the city’s ballroom amid a reverberating choir. She doesn’t drink blood, which separates her from other vampires. She goes out the window and her friend Kubo follows her to let her know that the humans are planning a widespread attack. But we know that vampires have developed a self-destructive drug that turns them into wild and grotesque animals.

In such an encounter, a vampire injects himself with such a drug in front of a company of human soldiers. A spectacle erupts as Momo comes for the vampire. Momo’s mother asks the soldiers to take her out if necessary, and Mirena protects Momo and takes the blow herself. When Mirena dies, Momo escapes the scene with Lady Fine. They come close to each other thanks to their mutual resemblance to music and art.

However, the human resistance is looking for Momo and the vampires send Kubo and Allegro to contact Lady Fine. As both troops shuffle forward, the budding bond between Momo and Fine looks fateful. Meanwhile, Momo wonders what a painting on the music box is, evoking memories of Lady Fine. Meanwhile, Momo’s mother sends her brother Kubo and his gang to find the duo of Momo and Lady Fine. As they follow the party to the stoic paradise, violence erupts. Meanwhile, the possibility of the human and the vampire seems slim.

Vampire In The Garden Ending: Is Fine Dead Or Alive?

In the third episode, Fine dies in the middle of the story when the gunman attacks the hideout and launches an arrow at Fine. The arrow hits her throat, but she stands up again and launches an attack on the humans. Kubo and his team take Momo back, but Momo vehemently protests. Fine and Momo check into a hotel room, while Fine reveals a gruesome shape. Momo sees Fine in the state and offers blood from her wrist.

Fine briefly revives, but the paradox is that she denies drinking blood. Fine’s rejection of blood is an ethical choice, which stands in stark contrast to the blood economy that governs the citadel: people sell blood to the vampires to prevent the violence from happening. Against the backdrop of an endless winter, Fine’s independent and artistic spirit (not drinking blood is an independent choice she makes, which separates her from the tribe) shines despite being a cold-blooded vampire.

Fine’s eventual death comes as a shock to viewers. In the end, the vampires seem more reasonable as they ensure Momo’s safety. On the other hand, in a spectacular battle with human sniper Kubo, Fine takes the Vampiric form. Kubo takes a blow in the fight, while Fine is mortally wounded after injecting the drug. Fine and Momo go to a refuge with a structure that resembles the curved tower of Pisa. In the flowery bushes, Fine aesthetically says goodbye to the screen, while her artistic self lingers in the minds of the viewers for a while.

Will Momo return to her mother?

We’ve seen Momo’s mother’s dominant influence on Momo from the start. Her mother is also the commander of the human army, and Momo apparently did not get a say in her enlistment in the army. Momo’s mother is a staunch human ideologue who won’t let Momo keep the music box because music is supposed to be a vampire thing. However, after spending some time with Fine, Momo realizes a much broader perspective of looking at the world. That’s when Momo sees the flaw in her mother’s black and white way of looking at the world.

And when the music box leads to the revelation of paradise, it also has a dark side in it. For Lady Fine, the music box is a reminder of her former human lover. Meanwhile, in Volskaya, some vampires are not happy that Momo, a human, has come to stay with them. The vampires launch a covert attack, while the human troop catches up shortly after. A fight ensues between Kubo and Lady Fine. Kubo remains alive, though defeated, while Lady Fine leads Momo to a safe place. Lady Fine tells Momo to go back to her mother on her deathbed. It’s not the first time she’s said this, though.

When Fine turns into the demon herself, she throws Momo out of the room and asks her to return to the human world. Finally, Momo confronts her overbearing mother, and she goes ahead, leaving her mother speechless. Therefore, we deduce that Momo does not return to her mother or the people, but pursues her dreams to pursue music. Momo opens her mouth to sing in the closing scene, showing her blossoming subjectivity. Relinquishing her human past, Momo has no familial association with humans, but only affinity with other creative minds.
