The feeling of watching an anime that you really like is definitely something Otakus likes to experience. There’s nothing like the feeling of your favorite anime getting a new season, though. In/Specter fans are probably excited because their favorite anime is getting a season 2. In / Spectre’s Season, 1 will air in the winter of 2020. In addition, a new season was announced, but not much information was released other than the year of release and a visual teaser. Recently, however, official sites of the anime announced new information about the new season. This information includes the release date, new cast members and a new visual teaser.
In/Spectre, also known as Kyokou Suiri, is based on a novel by Kyo Shirodaira. It was adapted into a manga by Chasiba Katase, who was also responsible for illustrating art for the novel. In/Specter has been adapted into an anime produced by Brian’s Base. The anime ran from January 12 to March 29, 2020.

In/Specter Synopsis
The story of In/Specter falls into the fantasy and romance genres. In/Specter introduces us to Kuro Sakuragawa and Kotoko Iwanaga, the protagonists of the series. Kotoko Iwanaga has loved Kuro Sakuragawa for a long time. Luckily for her, he just broke up with his girlfriend. She takes the opportunity, asks him out and reveals that she is a goddess of wisdom who must preserve the happiness of the yokai. In this way she can also communicate with the human and spirit world.
Though Kuro doesn’t believe her, he finds himself in a situation where he encounters a yokai. Interestingly, Kuro has a secret that surprises Kotoko. She asks him to help her in her adventures to solve supernatural problems, while she works towards the goal of marrying him one day.
In/Specter Season 1 Recap
Season 1 of In/Specter consisted of 12 episodes. This season introduced us to the world in the story and to many of the characters who play important roles in the story. In/Specter Season 1 was slow and left many questions unanswered. It introduces us to Kotoko’s main conflicts as she, along with Kuro, tries to help ghosts with what they need. It gets interesting when the mystery of Steel Lady Nanase is introduced. We are also introduced to Rikka, Kuro’s cousin who is a mysterious character.
Season 1 ended with the end of Steel Lady Nanase, but we don’t know if she will make a comeback or not. In addition, Rikka remains mysterious because her motives remain unclear. We also discover many truths, such as the secret behind Kuro’s family. Finally, they come across a mystery that introduces them to most of the main conflicts in the anime.
In/Specter Season 2 Release Date and Visual Teaser
Hopefully, In/Specter Season 2 will pick up the pace by revealing the answers to the questions at the end of Season 1. Season 2 was supposed to take place one day, but we didn’t know the exact date. On March 4, 2022, In/Specter’s official Twitter account released a visual teaser, as well as the new season’s release date. In/Specter Season 2 will be released in October 2022 and will be one of the long awaited winter anime.

The visual teaser consists of two characters. One of them is Kotoko, while the other character is Yuki Onna, a new character who will be introducing Season 2.
Actors and film crew
In addition to Yuki Onna, Season 2 will have another character named Masayuki Muroi. The former character is voiced by Aoi Yūki, while the latter is voiced by Makoto Furukawa. In addition, most of the cast and crew remain the same as those of Season 1. With the voices of the main characters Kotoko Iwanaga and Kuro Sakuragawa, we have Akari Kito and Mamoru Miyano respectively.
Misato Fukuken will provide the voice of Saki Yumihara and Mayumi Sako will provide Rikka Sakuragawa. Detective Terada is voiced by Kenji Hamada. Season 2 will be directed by Keiji Gotoh and the scripts will be taken over by Takagi Noboru. However, the character design and animation direction will be passed from Takatoshi Honda to Kentarou Matsumoto.
