How old is Leorio from Hunter x Hunter?

Leorio Paradinight is one of the four main protagonists in Hunter x Hunter. While the other three seem quite young, Leorio looks older to them. So, how old is Leorio Paradinight? Or rather: what is his age? Because of his unique appearance, fans have never understood what his real age is. After all, he is quite tall and wears a suit. He also looks a lot older than the protagonists, Gon Freecs and Killua Zoldyck. But first, let’s take a look at his backstory and key appearances. We will also talk about the powers he masters and the additional degrees he has.

Hunter x Hunter is one of the best shonen series out there. The series has plenty of interesting characters and superpowers presented in a way like never before. The two anime adaptations helped it reach a wider audience. The first adaptation was made in 1999 and was successful. However, it was the 2011 adaptation that became a big sensation and is talked about to this day. One reason fans love it so much is because of its likeable yet complex characters. We often find ourselves in love with the villains as much as we are with the protagonists.

Personality

Leorio is introduced when we first see Gon take the Hunter exam. Leorio is not good with first impressions and comes across as a narcissist. His selfish desires and love for material wealth cause Kurapika to quarrel with him. But as the story progresses, we find out that Leorio’s dream is to become a doctor and serve the poor. He explains that the reason he took the Hunter exam was to fund his medical education. Leorio believes that everything in the world is for sale when you become a fighter.

One of Leorio’s best qualities is his love for his friends. He is loyal and trustworthy to the end, and his actions confirm his words. He also acts as the comic relief in the group as Killua and Kurapika always tend to be quite serious. Gon is cheerful, but he is by no means a comedian. Leorio is also known as a genuine talker and does not mince his words when he speaks to someone. He went on to form the best friendship with Kurapika despite the many fights they had in the beginning.

Melody, the hunter with the exceptionally good hearing, meets Leorio at the Yorknew City arc. She claims he has “the prettiest heartbeat in town” and that it’s warm and gentle. She added that he is better suited as a doctor than a hunter.

Powers and Skills

Throughout the series, Leorio grows in strength and intelligence, just like the other main characters. Towards the end, he joins the Zodiacs, codenamed “Boar”. This confirms that his power and authority surpass that of most fighters. His charisma also grew significantly, and many Hunters voted to join.

In terms of power, Leorio is insanely strong. Hisoka considered him an opponent worthy of growing up. Chairman Netero claimed that his combat skills are superior to those of Bodoro, a prominent martial artist and Hunter. He broke the arm of a massive man in Yorknew while wrestling. He opened the second door of the Test Gate. He can also throw a knife with enough force to place it firmly on a pillar.

Leorio is agile and has great stamina. He can also recover faster from injuries. He’s also a broadcaster, but that was because he only knew about Ten’s existence. By the end, he could very well have learned Zetsu.

How old is Leorio from Hunter x Hunter?

Leorio Paradinight is 19 years old at the beginning of the story and turns 21 at the end of the series, that is, the beginning of the intermission. There is a running gag in the series for Leorio’s age. Many characters, including Killua, mistook him for an old man at the start of the series. Killua continued to ridicule him, even though Leorio angrily declared that he was a teenager. His appearance and dress sense contribute greatly to his older appearance. In the series, Leorio’s date of birth is given as March 3, 1980, and since the events took place in 1999, he is 19 years old. At the end he is 21 years old. By this time, he became a much-needed father figure to Gon, especially as Ging continued to be a beat-up father.

As for other characters like Gon and Killua, they were 12 years old at the start of the series and later turned 14 while Kurapika was 17 and later turned 19.
