Horimiya Season 2: When is the new season coming?

Kyouko Hori, a popular high school girl known for her cheerful demeanor and scholastic prowess, has a dark side hidden. Hori is obliged to take care of her younger brother and do the housework because her parents are usually away on business, leaving her little opportunity to make friends or socialize outside of school. On the other hand, Izumi Miyamura is presented as a melancholy otaku who wears glasses. In reality, he is a very nice man who is not a good learner. Hori and Miyamura meet by chance outside of school and are not expecting each other. Hisako Kanemoto plays Motoko Iura. She is Shu’s younger sister.

About the characters

Asami Seto plays Kyoko Hori. Kyoko is a beautiful, brilliant, popular high school student, but she dresses down at home and removes her makeup, puts her hair back and does housework while looking after her younger brother. She doesn’t want her friends to see her like this, but when Izumi discovers Miyamura, they agree to keep their true identities hidden. 1st Chapter Miyamura begins to arouse amorous impulses in her. When she appeared to be asleep, she overheard his confession to her. They started a romance after admitting to her father that Izumi was her lover when he asked when she was with him.

Yoshitsugu Matsuoka provides the voice of Izumi Miyamura. Izumi is a melancholy pseudo-otaku fanatic who wears glasses and keeps to himself at school. Outside of school, though, he’s quite attractive and laid-back, with a punkish look and nine piercings, four on each ear and one on his lip. Given his school appearance, he has only a slight interest in reading and gets average grades. His family owns and operates a bakery. He endured his miserable life, but after understanding that Kyoko is not worried about his appearance, he gradually gained confidence and became acquainted with his peers.

Contrary to his gloomy image in school, Izumi’s appearance outside of school, with his attractive face hidden behind glasses, would have easily earned him popularity. Izumi wears long shirts to hide his tattoos and keeps his hair long to hide his ear piercings. Even when she’s angry, he finds Kyoko’s true self endearing. He was content to remain friends, but his openness allowed him to express Kyoko’s qualities he values ​​in her.

Yumiko Kobayashi plays Souta Hori. Kyoko’s younger sibling, Izumi, brings Souta back to his house after a fall and a nosebleed, and Souta is constantly asking his sister to welcome his new friend back. This gives Kyoko the opportunity to spend time with Izumi after class. Yoshimasa Hosoya provides the voice of Toru Ishikawa. Nobunaga Shimazaki plays Kakeru Sengoku. Kyoko’s childhood friend and the head of the student council. He is thought to be a little weak, yet he is capable. He is Remi’s lover and befriends Izumi. Akiko Hasegawa provides the voice of Remi Ayasaki. Although he is a member of the student council, he is best known as a mascot. She has a petite frame and enjoys interacting with others. She is Sakura’s best friend and Kakeru’s girlfriend. Yui Nomura plays Sakura Kono. A student council member who does most of the work. Kei Imoto provides the voice of Honoka Sawada. Izumi’s neighbor and a student with a fondness for Kyoko. Her eldest brother passed away a year ago. Aoi Koga, Souta’s kindergarten classmate who used to torment Souta for owning a sister complex, pronounces Yūna Okuyama. Souta and Izumi remain friends after Izumi gives her some sympathy.

Ai Kayano provides the voice of Yuriko Hori. Kyoko’s busy mother, who can only make curry, appreciates Izumi’s help caring for Souta when Kyoko is away. She was Kyosuke’s high school classmate. Daisuke Ono provides the voice of Kyosuke Hori. Kyoko’s traveling father, who prefers the friendship between Kyoko and Izumi and treats Izumi as if she were his best friend when his own daughter takes her anger out on him. He was Yuriko’s school friend. Jun Fukuyama plays Akane Yanagi. Yanagi is a neighborhood classmate who is hopelessly in love with Yuki.

He has poor eyesight and often breaks or misses his glasses or contact lenses, despite his good looks and mannered demeanor. Taku Yashiro provides the voice of Kichi Shindo. In high school, Izumi had only one best partner. Kyoko is constantly jealous of Shindo for his deep bond with Izumi, and she fears they may fall in love. Makio Tanihara is Izumi’s old junior high tyrant, played by Shya Chiba.

Season 2

Many anime series are based on current references, and if you’ve seen the first season of “Horimiya”, you probably know that the 13 episodes produced covered the entire plot arc of 122 chapters of the original manga. The season concludes with the main pair’s graduation and a stunning finish that spares no cliffhangers. As a result, it seems that a second season of the anime is unlikely. As of now, the show’s creators have given no indication that the anime would be continued.

Nevertheless, with only 13 episodes and 122 chapters from the original source, it’s clear that “Horimiya” hasn’t covered everything that happened in the manga. Most of these sections were covered in the final edit of the anime’s slideshow, although it’s possible future episodes will delve deeper into the stories that were left unfinished.
