These three episodes of the anime did not disappoint the audience. Unlike most fast-paced anime coming out these days, Deaimon: Recipe for Happiness is a go-to anime if you want to chill out or feel good. After all, there is nothing more appealing in this world than good food that can temporarily take away our problems.
Deaimon: Recipe for Happiness is an adaptation of a manga written and illustrated by Rin Asano. It was first published on April 4 in the year 2016. The manga was adapted into an anime by the studio of Encouraging Films.
Short content
As mentioned above, the anime radiates big “feel-good” vibes. However, this does not mean that the anime has no conflicts. In fact, each character goes through their own problems that are very realistic. In the anime, we are introduced to the main character Nagomu Irino. Nagomu is a character who is very passionate about music. He comes from a family that owns a candy store called “Ryokushou” in Kyoto. This shop would be run by him when he grew up, but he flees to Tokyo, pursuing his dream of becoming a musician. Years later, he returns to his house when he learns that his father has been hospitalized.
Now that he’s back in Kyoto, he’s ready to take over the shop. This is when we are introduced to the second main character of the anime, a girl named Yukihira Itsuka. Itsuka happened to be an employee of the family’s candy store. Not only this, she is also considered the true and deserving successor of the store. What makes her character more interesting is that she is only 10 years old and manages the store very well. Itsuka seems to come from a tragic past. As for Nagomu, he is tasked with looking after Itsuka by being a father-like figure to her. Again, Itsuka is reluctant to accept Nagomu as her father-like figure as she is already waiting for her real father to come to her.
