Call of the Night Episode 5 Recap
Nazuna wakes up disappointed to realize there is still plenty of time before she can meet Kou. She looks at other chores she has to do, but ends up just watching TV for a while and getting nothing done. When the sun has set, she decides to go out for a walk. Walking past some strangers, Nazuna can’t help but feel gloomy because of the lack of enthusiasm for people’s lives. She misses Kou, but since she can’t meet him now, she decides to spend some time alone.
Nazuna goes to a public bathroom and tries to relax a bit. Just as she begins to feel comfortable, her watch beeps. She runs outside as quickly as possible and meets Kou. Her new haircut and overall changed look prove too much for Kou, who can’t help but stare blankly at her. A million thoughts race through his mind and he tries to keep his cool, but it’s clear that Nazuna’s gaze knocks him dumbfounded. Feeling a little excited, Kou asks his friend to drink his blood. Nazuna doesn’t mind, of course, and Kou remembers that having her suck his blood has a dual benefit.
First of all, it helps clear his mind and he can think better. Second, he feels that a strange relationship has developed with Nazuna and feels that it is a good thing as he eventually wants to fall in love to become a vampire. So he makes her drink his blood, after which they accidentally end up in a motel because they think it’s a video game parlor. Nazuna there comes uncomfortably close to Kou and reveals that she knows all about the emotions he felt this evening.
Nazuna asks Kou not to suppress his emotions, but let himself take control every now and then. While watching television, Kou thinks deeply about her suggestion. When they leave, Kou is still lost in thought. At that point, he wonders where Nazuna drank blood when he wasn’t with her. Coincidentally, she mentions that she drank the blood of the man standing on the side of the street. Kou gives him a strange look.
After Nazuna realizes that Kou is a little jealous when she says she’s drunk other people’s blood in the past, she takes the opportunity to tease him about it. However, she then tries to reassure him by saying that she even drank women’s blood, probably to prove that it was never about getting into a relationship, but just satisfying a natural hunger for blood. Unfortunately, it didn’t make Kou feel any better, so she decides to reveal her secret.
Call of the Night Episode 5 ends: How did Nazuna drink other people’s blood without arousing suspicion?
Nazuna takes Kou to her apartment where she dresses up as a nurse. She asks him to lie down and hands him a card that lists a few massage options and a price. Before Kou even thinks she’d ask him to pay, Nazuna clarifies that he can get a message for free if he wants to. Kou doesn’t refuse and once he lies down, she starts rubbing his back. Kou can’t help but get excited and try to control his thoughts.
Unfortunately, Nazuna is so close to him that he can hardly think of anything else. When she’s done rubbing his back, she decides to massage his head. Nazuna then begins to explain various pressure points that help blood flow and provide physical relaxation. Kou listens patiently and feels his body become quite comfortable after using different massage techniques. He realizes that this is probably how she got blood before meeting him.
It turns out Kou is right and Nazuna gave people comfort massages so they can relax after a full day of work. She would help them relax and as soon as they dozed off, she was given the chance to drink their blood. Therefore, Nazuna not only managed to satisfy her hunger for blood, but she did it while keeping her identity a secret.
