Kou wants as much contact with Nazina as possible, so he asks her for her phone number. Unfortunately, Nazina doesn’t have a phone, so Kou decides to get a little more imaginative and comes up with a solution. Here’s everything you need to know about the ending of ‘Call of the Night’ Episode 2. SPOILERS AHEAD!!!
Call of the Night Episode 2 Recap
After spending a life-changing night with Nazina, which finally gives Kou some purpose, he also leaves his house the next night in hopes of doing something more adventurous. He finds his new friends waiting for him in the playground. As the duo begin to discuss drinking blood, Nazina points out that it’s like eating food. However, there is one crucial difference. Under the right circumstances, a vampire can have offspring by drinking someone’s blood – and that’s the only way they grow in number.
Nazina then explains that the whole process of drinking blood is therefore not limited to eating, but in a sense it is also copulation for the vampires. Kou asks Nazina what she expected from him for turning him into a vampire, to which she casually mentions that she wants to taste his blood again. But when her new boyfriend just casually exposes his neck, she gets pretty upset because it’s naturally too hard for her to resist his blood.
Kou is constantly telling himself to fall in love with her if he hopes to become like her. The next day he had to search for quite some time before he could finally find Nazina. When he asks where she’s been, Nazina says she was just drinking someone’s blood. Kou is surprised by what he hears and calls her names. When Nazina says it’s okay, Kou reminds her that she just explained what it’s like to drink blood for the vampires yesterday. Nazina continues to claim that it’s not a big deal, as vampires usually copulate with someone.
Kou doesn’t want to talk about it further and asks for her phone number. Nazina asks if he’s using LINE, to which Kou replies in the negative. She then explains that she doesn’t even have a phone, much to Kou’s surprise. Nazina then confesses that she just wanted to use the LINE phrase and then takes Kou to her apartment, where she finds an old phone that doesn’t even seem to work anymore.
While they discuss a few things, Nazina invites Kou to sleep next to her. When her new boyfriend looks angry, Nazina immediately realizes what’s troubling him. She explains that earlier that night she hadn’t drunk anyone’s blood and only said what she said because she was embarrassed that she was looking for him too. Kou seems to be feeling a little better after her confession and reveals his neck so Nazina can drink his blood.
Though Nazina falls asleep some time later, Kou can’t help but be overwhelmed by countless thoughts. The next night, he brings a transceiver for her boyfriend so they can keep in touch. After talking for a while, the duo goes to the terrace of Kou’s school, where Nazina drinks his blood again.
Call of the Night Episode 2 ends: Who is Akira Asai? Does she know about Kou and Nazina?
The morning after spending some quality time with Nazina, Kou goes home. At that moment, one of the transceivers not connected to Nazina suddenly lights up. Since the transceiver that could be used to call it has been missing for a few years, Kou is confused as to how anyone can contact him through him. But before he can understand anything, he is called from behind by Akira Asai.
Akira was Kou’s childhood friend and was always there when he needed help. She also lives in the same apartment complex as Kou. Unlike most people in Kou’s life, Akira is quite attached to him and genuinely cares about his well-being. She supports him to the point that she often gets into trouble because of Kou. Akira, an obedient college student who always takes her responsibilities seriously, is one of the few people Kou can count on as she will never let him down. However, despite sharing such a strong bond with Kou, she knows nothing about his relationship with Nazina. But this is destined to change in future episodes.
