Boruto Chapter 67 Review: Naruto’s Reaction When Boruto Almost Dies

Boruto is a series better known as a sequel to the classic manga series Naruto. However, as it follows the next generation of Naruto, you will see a lot of different, but also some similarities. Recently, the manga has discontinued its Chapter 67, giving hope to many ailing fans. Earlier in chapter 66 of Boruto it ended with Boruto literally dying because he was out of breath and totally scared. That left many fans in shock about the main character and they’ve been keeping their fingers crossed ever since. Also the manga Boruto, which has been outstanding every time, did not disappoint the fans.

Boruto: Naruto Next Generation is written by Ukyo Kodachi and Masashi Kishimoto and illustrated by Mikio Ikemata. It was published by Shueisha and an English version was provided by Viz Media. The manga was released in Weekly Shonen Jump on May 9, 2016. It is still ongoing with a total of 16 volumes. Recently there was a fight going on between Kawaki and Naruto in the manga. From the last updated chapter, the battle ended in Kawaki’s favor. Episode 67, which came out recently, turned the table around and some very important things happened in it. Let’s see how it went in the new chapter and what the fans’ reactions are to it.

What happened in Boruto Chapter 67?

Since the previous episode ended with a heavenly wounded Boruto taking his last breath, this chapter picks up where it left off. Kawaki dealt a very deadly blow to Boruto, and that attack destroyed his heart and lungs. With only major internal organs badly injured, it was pretty obvious that Boruto is on his deathbed. Soon after, the final battle between Kawaki and Code raged, and finally Nauro landed in reality and watched his son slowly die. Naruto started to cry as he held Boruto’s lifeless body in his hands and examined the injuries and at the same time wept for his condition. On the other hand, Code and Kawaki continue to fight, clearly progressing on Kawaki’s side.

Code realized it was foretold, but Kawaki said, “You’re nobody to decide the fate of others, it seems you don’t understand. That was when he realized that he is no match for Kawaki and that he is going to die today. After all the discussions between Shikamaru and Naruto, we get to see the revival of Boruto. Shikamaru was shocked to see Boruto alive and then it was revealed how Momoshiki had transferred all the DNA that allowed him to protect Boruto. With Boruto still alive, Momoshiki’s soul will remain in Boruto, but he will never be able to resurrect using Boruto’s body.

Boruto Chapter 67 Review

From the last few episodes, we all witnessed a very hard battle involving Kawaki, Code and Boruto. In the last episode, we saw Boruto die, but be brought back to life by his father, which was the most controversial part of the chapter. What fans loved about this chapter is the role of Naruto acting on his paternal instincts rather than being a Hokage. That made the episode really emotional, especially when Naruto cried for his son. Another thing that was much appreciated in this chapter is none other than Kawaki. While he was the bad buy in the episode and beat Boruto and Code really badly, his powers and personality were on another level.

However, there was something that was quite unacceptable, the fact that Naruto forgives Kawaki for his action. On this he gave the reason that after all these things he is still part of my family. This showed how the conversation between Naruto and Shikamaru depicted Naruto’s struggle to be Hokage and Father at the same time. As for the time when Boruto was revived, that was the time when Ikemata should be what we call good panelling. He slowed down the panel and kept the tension it needed. Just like how the chapter turned out great, just like every other chapter of Boruto.
