Many anime have been created from manga for a long time. One anime that really takes adaptation to another level is the upcoming anime “To Become a Real Heroine! The Unpopular Girl and the Secret Task”. Also known as “Heroine Tarumono! Kiraware Heroine to Naisho no O-Shigoto”, this anime is adapted from a HoneyWorks song called “Heroine Tarumono!”. The story:
“Becoming a Heroine: The Unpopular Girl and the Secret Task” is the story of a girl named Hiyori Suzumi. Although she seems like a very ordinary girl, she is not afraid to dream big and follow the path that brings her closer to achieving her dreams. She moves to Tokyo and attends Sakuragaoka High School. But in order to live there, she decides to apply for a job part-time. Luckily, she found a junior manager job for two of her classmates Yujito Someya and Aizo Shibasaki, members of the idol group LIPxLIP. Thus, the story revolves around Hiyori’s adventures as a student and manager of a famous group as she continues to pursue her passions.
Interestingly, the story also focuses on the group LIPxLIP and their performances as they are the people who will influence Hiyori in many ways.
Recent announcements:
On February 19, it was announced that the members of the Idol group Full Throttle4 were cast as voice actors in the anime. Full Throttle4 is a fictional idol group consisting of 4 members. These 4 idols are Yui, Rio, Megu and Dai. These idols are produced by the fictional idol agency Mebius. They are managed by IV, often seen with another character who is also a DJ. Yui is a lead singer of the group and he is voiced by Soma Saito. Another singer of the group is Rio who is voiced by Uchida Yuma.
Besides the vocalists there are artists consisting of the other 2 members. Megu is voiced by Kakihara Tetsuya and Dai is voiced by Matsuda Toshiki. Jun Fukuyama pronounces their manager IV. Since they belong in the same universe, this idol group is the oldest of the idol group LIPxLIP in “To Become a Heroine”. In addition, they also released a new PV as shown below.
Previous announcements:
On January 16, 2022, To Become An Heroine began work on the manga adaptation. This manga has its chapters that appear on the first and third Sundays every month. The anime is produced by the studio Lay-duce. This studio has worked on the production of anime such as Fate/Grand Order and Magi: Sinbad no Bouken. Noriko Hashimoto will direct the series. Hashimoto has previously worked on projects from Code Geass and Detective Conan: The Fist of Blue Sapphire. The scripts and music composition are taken over by Yoshimi Narita and Moe Hyuga respectively. Kaori Ishii will be responsible for character design and will also serve as the chief animation director.
The anime will be released in April 2022. In addition, we also know that the theme song of the anime will be a song from LIPxLIP called “Julietta”.
Main casts:
In addition to the newly announced members, most of the main cast was announced a while ago. Hiyori Suzumi, the main character, is voiced by Inori Minase. Yujiro Someya and Aizo Shibasaki are voiced by Koki Uchiyama and Nobunaga Shimazaki respectively. Being a member of LIPxLIP, these voice actors will also be the voice behind the opening theme.
