The previous episode ended with Eren’s stubbornness to save his homeland coming out victorious for Zeke’s rescue to sacrifice Eldia for the greater good. In a single command, thousands of colossal titans emerge from the walls that have protected Pradis for centuries. As you read the article, these wall titans are marching across the sea for the sole purpose of abolishing the outside world. Can Mikasa, Armin and the rest of the 104th Training Corps allow humanity to perish to save their homeland? We’ll find out in Attack on Titan Season 4 Episode 22.
With the activation of rumble, Reiner’s worst nightmare has become a reality. The people he wants to protect are trampled by Wall Titan’s army. So the only way out is to kill Eren for the greater good of the world. However, easier said than done. The Founding Titan is colossal, even compared to the Colossal Titans, so locating Eren’s neck is just next to impossible.
Attack on Titan Season 4 Episode 22 Preview and Speculation
In the preview clip of Attack on Titan Episode 81 you can see hundreds of Wall Titans marching towards Marley. Connie holds Armin by his collar and tries to give him some sense. He firmly believes that exterminating all mankind is too high a price for their freedom. Meanwhile, Mikasa is seen cutting a titan’s snape, probably one of those controlled by Zeke.
Also, since Eren has unhardened all titans, I don’t think Reiner and Annie will be an exception. So there’s a good chance that Eren’s rumble activation will break the crystal holding Annie captive, waking her from the seemingly eternal slumber. Meanwhile, Mikasa and Armin face a dilemma as to which side to choose. They must resort to Hange’s expert advice to come to a conclusion, as the future of the entire world rests on their shoulders.

Shingeki no Kyojin Season 4 Episode 21 Recap
The episode opens with Eren and Zeke exploring Grisha’s memories, where he mercilessly kills Frieda and all the other children of the royal family. Zeke finally realizes that Eren forced his father to commit these sins, and he orders Ymir to carry out his euthanasia plan immediately. As Ymir gradually moves towards the coordinate, Eren tries to free herself from the shackles that renounce the war. After struggling for a while, he finally breaks free and runs to Ymir to stop her. He reminds her that she is neither a god nor a slave; rather she is a person with feelings.
The History of Titans
The next scene took us to the bloodstained pages of Eldian history when Eldia was nothing but a barbarian tribe. King Fritz enslaved Ymir while conquering other lands. One fateful day, the villagers accused Ymir of freeing the cattle. It was clear she was not to blame, but she had no choice but to accept punishment. While chased by the soldiers, Ymir entered the bark of a huge tree where a centipede-like creature clung to her. Thus, Ymir first emerged as the Founding Titan.
The day marked the beginning of Eldia’s glory. With the power of Titan, Eldia fought one war after another, building bridges to improve the mobility of their troops. The Marleyan army didn’t stand a chance for them, and millions of Marleyans were killed. Later, Ymir died while trying to protect King Fritz from an assassination attempt. In vain, however, the king refused to let the Titans go, so he fed Ymir’s crops to their daughters: Cena, Rose, and Maria.
Eren activates rumbling
Back in the present, Eren activates Rumbling and transforms into the Founding Titan for the very first time. Once again the roads of Paradis are covered with the dust of terrors. Thousands of colossal titans emerge from the walls and march to the sea. Eren makes contact with all the Eldians and says he won’t stop his rage until every last human being outside the walls is killed.
