2nd free! The Final Stroke Film Part 2 released the new trailer yesterday. The long-running sports anime franchise is now returning with a new movie. Free! which is a sports anime that is a big fan following for its excellent plot and especially character design. It’s one of those sports anime that matches the competition of Haikyuu!!, Yuri on ICE, Inazuma Eleven and Slam Dunk. Due to the increasing interest of people in sports animations, the makers have made more of it. Every time there is a new sports anime, it revolves around different sports. It can be baseball, basketball, soccer, skating or swimming.
It’s been a long time since fans eagerly awaited the film and now the makers have released a trailer. Some fans mentioned how relaxing it feels to finally get a trailer. Free! was released as an original anime television series produced by Kyoto Animation. It was directed by Hiroko Utsumi and written by Masahiro Yokotani. The anime was released on July 4, 2013 and until September 26, 2013. The anime aired on Tokyo MX, TVA, ABC, BS11 and AT-X in Japan. As for the international broadcast, it was licensed by Crunchyroll. Later, a light novel series by Koji Oji and illustrated by Futoshi Nishiya was released on July 9, 2013. Until July 2, 2014, a total of 2 parts were released. Another anime series titled “Free!- Eternal Summer” was released on July 2, 2014. It ended on September 24, 2014 and until then, 13 episodes and 1 OVA have aired. Another anime series was released on July 11, 2018 and also ended with 12 episodes.

The plot of the anime series Free! takes place in Iwatobi, Iwami District, Tottori, Japan. The main character is Haruko Nanase, a high school student who is a prodigious swimmer. One day, he met his childhood rival Rin Matsuko from the Samezuka Academy. This caused something within Haruko that he decided to revive the Iwatobi High School swim team. So he started and other essential characters like Makoto Tachibana, Nagisa Hazuki, Rei Ryugazaki and others were recruited. They began to train, but at the same time, the rivalry between Haruko and Rin began to grow more and more bitter.
As a result, Rin fools their team to prevent them from improving their skills further. All anime series revolve around Haruko Nanase and continues his life journey. In the next anime, he achieves different things and also encounters people. In addition, he attended college and reconnected with friends from his high school.

Recently, the official website of the anime franchise has been free! release a full trailer for the upcoming movie. It was released on Friday, March 1, 2022 and provided key visuals for the upcoming anime. Along with this, it also revealed the film’s premiere date. The full trailer for part two of 2nd Free! The Final Stroke also previewed the main theme song titled “This Fading Blue” from the unit OLDCODEX.
